The US dropped 2 bombs on Japan on 6th august and 9th august.

Nuclear bombs were used for the first time in the war.

Actually, there are many ways of making a nuclear bomb.

First is the nuclear Fission reaction, Where one nucleus explodes and Splits into 2 small nuclei So much energy is released, and the reason for the splitting is that we throw a neutron on it. And it gives out neutron too. When a bomb is made this way, then it is called a normal nuclear bomb.

The second way is nuclear fusion, Where we create an environment of so much energy. And then 2 nuclei combine to make a nucleus, and it releases so much energy and neutrons. If all these reactions are not controlled then they become an Uncontrolled Chain Reaction. And so much energy is released due to its constant repetition. In fact, The energy from the sun comes to us due to nuclear Fusion only, and when a bomb is made this way, then it is called a thermonuclear bomb.

And sometimes, bombs are made through the combination of these 2 too.

The first bomb was dropped in Hiroshima, On 6 August 1945. This was a Uranium-based bomb, named Little Boy. During that time, the population there was 350000, half of which died in the next one month only. Some of them died instantly, and others died due to radiation. And the next generations were also damaged by this, and had very different diseases,

This was the first bomb to be used in any war, and the US dropped this bomb to make Japan surrender. But Japan did not surrender, hence the next bomb was dropped on 9th August 1945 in Nagasaki, 74000 people died due to this bomb. Surprisingly the deaths due to this nuclear bomb in one day in Japan were less than the deaths due to normal bombing which the US did in Japan.

The US killed one lakh people in one day in Tokyo from normal bombing, And the US said that if Japan did not surrender, then he will Drop more nuclear bombs and destroy more cities of Japan. And hence Japan surrendered on 15th august 1945. Then the world war ended.

Can you imagine what kind of absurd environment was created 70-80 years ago?

The first bomb dropped in Hiroshima was named Little Boy. Uranium was used to create this bomb and it was a gun-shaped Uranium bomb, It was dropped from 31000ft and exploded above 1500ft. And the explosion was equivalent to 15000 tons of TNT explosion.

The plane was named Enola Gay on the name of the pilot's mother.

The area of 5sq, miles was destroyed around the city. The second bomb was an implosion-type Plutonium bomb named Fatman, Which was dropped from a plane named B-29 Bock's Car, Actually, a man named Bock flew it usually, but 2 different people were flying it at that time. It was dropped from 29000ft and it exploded at a height of 1650ft, and the explosion was equivalent to 21000 tons of TNT explosion, the whole city was destroyed into bits.

These 2 bombs were very heavy (4-5ton approx.) which were dropped from planes, But even after these disasters, Japan rebuilt its Cities again. Whether earthquakes come or anything, but Japanese people don't waste any time in rebuilding their cities. That's why the whole world is interested in Japanese philosophy, and many books have also been written on that.

Now the question arises that where did the nuclear bombs came from? How did the US make them?

The US started a project named the Manhattan Project. The US got success at the Trinty project where they tested the bomb named "The Gadget" this was a round plutonium bomb. Made under the Manhatten project where some Germans helped the Americans.

Now the question arises then how did it change the course of history?

This is a very interesting story that involves Einstein too. Actually, Einstein told the then president of the US, that Germany is working on a nuclear bomb and it must be stopped. But in the place of stopping them, Roosevelt decided to make one themselves. Then the president changed. The bomb was made, and the Manhatten project was successful. But people involved in it's making the president in Writing never use them. They dropped 2 bombs in less than one month to win this war. On the other hand, this Race was taking another turn.

USSR(Russia) was also trying to make bombs like these from 1943. Then finally in 1949, they made their first nuclear bomb, the lightning. But because the US and USSR were enemies, so they tried to one-up each other. Now both had Nuclear Bombs, so the US decided to make Thermonuclear bombs, to set back USSR. But they actually aroused them more, and USSR made their first thermonuclear bomb in 1961 which was named Tsar Bomba. This was even more dangerous, as it had the explosion of 50 megatons. And the explosion can go up to the height of Mount Everest.

Then things got even more intense than, the Cuban Missile crisis that happened in 1962. In which, it was said that USSR was hoarding the missiles in Cuba, and nuclear war can happen between the US and USSR. It was an intense situation of a month. Hence, in 1995 some physics said that we will have to choose between our fightings and Humanity. After that many treaties were signed between the US and USSR. Like the partial test ban in 1963, and the Nonproliferation treaty in 1968, and many other. There was a time around 1986 when the total nuclear weapons in the world were around 70300. Now they are only 13410 left, in which the US and Russia have the 91% of them. And France, China, UK, India, Pakistan have the remaining 9%. It is said that Iraq is also trying to make them, On which the US always puts Sanctions. So this is the current Situation of nuclear warfare.

Many people are now stressed about the future. Nuclear weapons are so dangerous that the whole world can be destroyed if some countries want, And because this is a tried and tested technology, this threat is always there. So this power must not come in the hands of the wrong people which can cause problems for the whole of humanity.

Nuclear weapons are a threat to the whole of Humanity. That's why its nonproliferation is being always talked about. And this is also right that the US and Russia have been a very big superpower for a very long time. Because they wanted Global Dominance, they have 91% of all the weapons and ask for nonproliferation from others. That's why Indian people were very happy when India tested these bombs. Because now no one can threaten us for these weapons. But our mission should be lowering down the number of these weapons from the world. These big countries must leave their weapons too and the proliferation of these weapons in other countries must be stopped too. But the main problem is that this is a can of the bomb, if it is opened once, then it is very difficult to close it. And when this technology is once made, then there is a threat that even if the whole world ends it. Then too, some insane guy can experiment in one corner of the world, and plan to destroy the whole world.
